Las Vegas Restaurant in SierpeCaño Island is one of the eight Biological Reserves in Costa Rica, It is located in the Pacific Ocean 17 km from the pacific coast. It measures 300 hectares of land and 5800 marine hectares, its highest point is 100 meters above the sea level Normally there is great visibility, about 10 to 30 meters, its cristal clear waters provide the perfect conditions to observe an incredible underwater world, some of the creatures we are likely to see are: colorful fish, turtles, rays, Sharks and on the way to the Island we might encounter dolphins and whales (seasonal). Isla de Caño is famous for having Costa Rica’s largest concentration of coral-building organisms in the Pacific Ocean. This Costa Rica reserve has a main trail, leading uphill into a lookout point and a pristine rainforest with 40 meter tall vaco trees, Caño protects about 160 plant and fern species. The Island is home to 69 species of animals: Among them 31 birds, 4 amphibians, 9 reptiles, 5 mammals. To protect the biodiversity of the Island, tourist activity is only permitted on the north face of the island.
