Atelopus variusCosta Rica was home to 4 described species of Atelopus, unfortunately 3 has not been seen since late 80s and 90s. A.varius was an abundant species with more than 160 localities all over the country. This pretty toad re-appeared after 8 years of being presumed extinct.
8 localities are now known. 
Hyalinobatrachium valerioi15 centrolenids can be found in costa rica and 7 of these glass frogs inhabit in the Canton de Osa.
This frog displays the most involved parental care and guard its eggs day and night. One of us (RNE) is part of a research team that is currently studying this amazing glassfrog. So this design represents more than 3 months of field work. 
Bothriechis supraciliarisDragon-like snake endemic to Costa Rica and Panama.
It is one of the prettiest vipers in the country, its coloration is highly variable. We have three designs of this species.

Phyllobates vittatusThis is the pretties poison frog in the country and the most poisonous one.
It is a Costa Rican endemic; although its range is very small this is an abundant species in the right habitat. It is very vulnerable to deforestation. 
Duellmanohyla rufioculisAnother gorgeous and endemic frog from Costa Rca.
Its big bulging rufous eyes are mesmerizing; this little frog is found more often during the rainy season on the vegetation near streams. Our team discover a healthy population and populations from 2 other endemic frog species. 
Lachesis melanocephalaThe Queen of the Osa Peninsula rainforest.
the most beautiful and the most difficult to observe Bushmaster of the 4 described species. 
Agalychnis callidryasThe famous Red-eyed leaf frog. This is an abundant species that is by far the most photographed frog species in Costa Rica.
